Career Highlights
  • Volleyball student-athlete at North Alabama from 1996-99.
  • Was a four-year starter and helped her squad to a 156-22 combined record, four-straight GSC Championships and two NCAA Division II Regional Championships.
  • Posted school records in games (593), matches (178) and had 1,539 kills.
  • Along with her sister Ronda, is one of only nine UNA student-athletes all-time to have earned both All-America and Academic All-America. Was an AVCA Second Team All-America in 1998-99 and was a CoSIDA Academic All-America in 1998 (Third Team) and 1999 (First Team.
  • Was a CoSIDA Academic All-District IV selection from 1997-99, Academic All-GSC from 1997-99 and received the Gulf South Conference Commissioner's Trophy in 1999 and 2000.
  • Was named UNA's Female Athlete of the Year in 2000 and was also awarded the NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship.
  • Was selected as NCAA DII National Scholar Athlete of the Year and received the UNA Keller Key (for highest GPA) in 2000.
  • Graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University in 2004 and also received the Geddes-Laufman-Greatbatch Award in 2003, which is awarded to the most-deserving graduate student in the Purdue Biomedical engineering program.
  • Was inducted into the UNA Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility in 2011.
  • Along with her sister Ronda, the two were highlighted in a feature on ncaa.com as part of an ongoing series called, "After the Game".
  • She currently works at MED Institute, Inc., as a clinical scientist. She is responsible for designating clinical studies, writing and submitting regulatory documents and communicating with clinical study investigators and regulatory authorities.
