  • Played football for VSU from 1991-94 and coached the Blazers from 2000-06.
  • Recipient of the 1994 Harlon Hill Trophy.
  • Set 13 GSC and 17 NCAA Division II records.
  • Garnered 1993 and 1994 GSC Commissioner’s Trophy honors.
  • Two-time All-America in 1993 and 1994.
  • Honored by the NCAA as a Top Eight Award winner in 1994.
  • Was an NFF Postgraduate Scholarship Winner and dubbed the CoSIDA Academic All-America National Player of the Year in 1994.
  • Named to the 1990-99 GSC Team of the Decade, 1971-95 GSC Team of the Quarter Century and earned the honor of being named the 1971-95 Offensive Player of the Quarter Century.
  • Inducted into the Division II Football Hall of Fame upon first year of eligibility.
