University of West Florida's Nick Merrett is this week’s Gulf South Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Merrett earned his first career honor after turning in a personal-best effort at last weekend's UF Mountain Dew Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. The sophomore finished ninth in a 153-runner field, setting a new personal record with an 8K time of 25:38.76. The Christchurch New Zealand native was the Argos highest finisher, leading UWF to a sixth-place spot in the non-Division I field.
