Valdosta State linebacker Jeremy Grable (SR, 6-0, 216, Alpharetta, GA).
Grable collects his first career laurel and is VSU’s second Defensive winner of the season. The senior spearheaded the Blazers’ defense in a 35-27 triumph at Texas A&M-Kingsville, racking up a game-high 14 total tackles, led by five solo stops and one tackle for loss. The Alpharetta, GA native also had a hand in three turnovers, forcing a fumble, recovering another fumble and intercepting one pass that he returned 11 yards for a touchdown. The score came with 1:33 left in the second quarter, cutting Valdosta State’s deficit to 17-14 at halftime.
