West Alabama running back Javae Swindle (SO, 5-4, 162, Thorsby, AL).
Swindle takes home his first-ever award while also becoming the third different UWA Offensive honoree of the season. The sophomore sparked the Tigers in their 63-17 home victory over Shorter, rushing 13 times for 182 yards (14.0 average) and three touchdowns. The Thorsby, AL native was pulled from the game with five minutes left in the third quarter and he became just the third player in school history to run for 1,000 yards in a season (1,106). His first score of the game came from 43 yards and gave UWA a 14-7 lead with 4:35 left in the first quarter.
