Render earned his first-career GSC Freshman of the Week honor following a 221 five-over par showing at the Argonaut Invitational. The rookie began the event with an opening round score of 77 five-over par before he shot rounds of 73 one-over par and 71 one-under par, respectively, to close out the tournament. He helped Lee to finish seventh in the overall team competition while also having six birdies.
