McGovern earned her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week award following a seven-point week. The rookie started the week by netting two goals, assisting on another, and picking up a ground ball in a 21-12 victory over North Greenville. She would then follow this up with three more goals and another ground ball in a 15-7 loss to Lander.
