Payne earned her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week after tying for 12th with a score of 160 16-over par at the Augustana Spring Fling. The rookie began the event with a round of 81 nine-over par golf before closing out the tournament with a round of 79 seven-over par golf. She helped Union to finish third in the overall team competition while also having three birdies.
