Palioura secured her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week award after going 2-0 in no. 1 singles for Delta State. To start the week, the freshman was victorious 6-2, 6-2 against West Florida’s Carlota Verdu. She was not done there, however, as she would go on to defeat Jackson State’s Paula Corbalan 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 in no. 1 singles to close out the week.
