For the 10th time this season, Sorrells is the recipient of the GSC Freshman of the Week award after averaging 8.5 points, six rebounds, 1.5 steals, and a block in two games for Montevallo. The freshman was four rebounds shy of a double-double in a 67-62 close win over West Alabama where she finished with 12 points, six rebounds, two steals, two swats, and an assist. She would then have five points, pull down six more boards, dish out two assists, and grab another steal against Alabama Huntsville.
