Walker secured his first-career GSC Freshman of the Week honor following a strong collegiate debut at the Samford Bulldog Invitational. The freshman competed in the 400 meters where he placed 15th with a time of 51.98 seconds. He was one of four Tigers to finish top-15 at the invitational.
