For the third-straight week, Puckett has brought home the GSC Field Athlete of the Week honor after his performance at the Pittsburg State Invitational. The sophomore competed in the shot put and the weight throw where he set personal bests in both events with distances of 16.08 meters and 16.15 meters, respectively. These throws placed him fifth and 12th in the respective events while also putting him as the only thrower in the conference to be top-three in both events.
