For the seventh-straight week, Sorrells is the recipient of the GSC Freshman of the Week award after averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal in two games for Montevallo. To start the week, the freshman had a near double-double as she poured in 21 points on 75 percent shooting and pulled down nine rebounds in a 56-43 win over Trevecca Nazarene. She would also add two assists and a steal in the win. She was not done there, however, as she had 14 more points, grabbed two boards, dished out two assists, blocked two shots, and had a steal against Lee. With her seventh GSC Freshman of the Week win, Sorrells has now tied the GSC record for most Freshman of the Week Awards in a season.
