Hawkins brought home her first GSC Track Athlete of the Week this season after recording a time of 9:19.54 in the 3000m at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. In a field filled with Division I runners, the senior came in 42nd place out of 128 finishers while also finishing with the fastest time in the 3000m for Division II runners at the event. Hawkins’ time was the 15th-fastest time for the 3000m in Division II history.
