Clemons won her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week following her performance at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. At the opener, the freshman competed in both the mile and the 800 meters where she won her heat in the mile and finished 21st overall with a time of 4:52.19 along with a 14th-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:16.44.
