Gintere collected her first-career GSC Freshman of the Week award following a week that saw her shoot 41%, including 50 percent from three, and average 10 points, 2.5 rebounds, and .5 blocks. In Delta State’s opening 68-63 win over Lane, she provided a spark off the bench as she registered outputs of 10 points, an assist, and two boards as well as making five out of six free throws. The freshman proceeded to shoot 42.9 percent from the field in a 75-42 win over LeMoyne-Owens while also recording 10 points, a block, another assist, and three more defensive boards.
