Methvin capped off the 2024 regular season with a first-place finish and time of 24:37.0 at the Watson Invitational 8k to earn his first GSC Runner of the Week award this season. This was the fastest 8k time in the GSC this week, and the redshirt-junior helped to guide the Choctaws to a second-place finish in the overall team competition.
