Ekelund had an impressive showing at the Hurricane Invitational where he registered a score of 207 nine-under par to go with 12 birdies and two eagles, all culminating in a second-place finish. The sophomore was consistent throughout the entire tournament as he carded a 69 three-under par in each of the three rounds. This outing also helped the Argos to finish in second-place in the overall team competition out of 15 teams.
