Villalta had a productive week as he was 7-for-13 (.538) at the plate with 13 RBI, eight runs scored, two doubles and two home runs, while Alabama Huntsville went 4-0 against Tennessee Southern and Union. The senior also slugged 1.308 and posted a .667 on-base percentage, while drawing six walks. In the mid-week game at Tennessee Southern, the Florence, Ala., native recorded six RBI and a homer, while going 2-for-3. In the GSC series against Union, Villalta hit .500 (5-10) with two or more hits in each two of the three games. He opened game three of the series going 3-for-3 at bat with four RBI, with a double and one home run in a 12-6 win. This is the first GSC Player of the Week award for either Villalta or UAH this season.
