Cota put together a solid week going 2-0 in doubles from the No. 1 position alongside teammate Ely Alas, while tallying a 1-1 mark in singles action from the No. 3 spot. In solo play, the senior defeated North Georgia’s Johanna Lippert (6-2, 4-6, 6-0) before falling to West Alabama’s Heden Ly (6-2, 6-2). Cota secured two ranked doubles wins defeating No. 41 Lippert/Viktorie Wojcikova from UNG (6-3) and No. 10 Shaira Rivera/Hardija Vidnere from UWA (6-4.) This is the first GSC Player of the Week award for Cota and Mississippi College this season.
