Ekelund logged a top-five finish at the Argonaut Invitational and helped West Florida to fourth-place in the team standings. The rookie from Sweden finished tied for fourth shot a 54-hole total of 212 (66-70-76) with two sub-par rounds. His first round score of 66 was tied for the tournament low-round score while his 15 birdies led the field. This is Ekelund’s second award of the season, as he was tabbed GSC Freshman of the Week on March 14.
