Doughman had a productive week at the plate hitting .615 (8-13), with five runs scored, 10 RBI, two homers and a double as he led AUM to a GSC series sweep over Christian Brothers. He logged two or more hits in each game, highlighted by 4-for-5 effort in the rubber game. In the series finale, Doughman belted two grand slams as he finished with nine RBI in a 24-11 slugfest. As a result, Doughman tied the NCAA Division II record for grand slams in a single-game becoming the fourth GSC player on that list and tied the program’s RBI record.
