Thompson led West Florida to a fourth-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational as he finished eighth on the individual leaderboard, behind a career-best score of 214 (68-74-72). His first round score of 68 was also a career-best while being a stroke shy of the tournament's low-round score. Thompson totaled 37 pars and seven part in the 54-hole event, and had now played four of the his last 10 rounds at par or better.
