With the announcement, she became the first Hawk since Hannah Pridemore in 2017 to be recognized and is the fourth Shorter recipient in program-history. The sophomore midfielder began the week with five ground balls and three caused turnovers in a loss against Life. She was then credited with five caused turnovers, five draw controls and a ground ball as the Hawks routed Southern Wesleyan on Saturday. Through six games, Crane is seventh among GSC leaders in caused turnovers per game (1.5) and fourth in total caused turnovers (9).
