Voight posted a respectable weekly performance tallying four goals and an assist for a five-point week as Shorter went 1-1. The rookie attacker opened her ledger with a goal in a loss to Life on Wednesday. She then registered her first collegiate hat-trick scoring three times in a 24-9 win over Southern Wesleyan, while also adding a helper. Voight’s weekly numbers also included 4-for-5 shots on goals, one ground ball and one caused turnover. She is the first Shorter awardee since Morgan LeBlanc was recognized in Week 10 of the 2017 season and the fourth SU student-athlete to capture weekly freshman accolades.
