Klei became the first Division II runner this season to break 47 seconds in the 400m, as he clocked a lifetime-best and school record time of 46.92 seconds. The junior is the D2 national leader in the event and is the first runner in conference-history to eclipse 47 seconds in the 400m dash during the indoor season. Klei was also part of MC's 4x400 relay team that placed eighth in a Division I-heavy field South Carolina Invitational with a provisional time 3:13.59.
