Thiele showed his versality, serving as kicker and punter in Valdosta State’s game Saturday against No. 8 West Florida. The sophomore accounted for seven points, as he converted a 44-yard field and was 4-for-4 in PATs. From the tee, Thiele had five kickoffs, four touchbacks, as he averaged 65 yards. He also had five punts on the night, averaging 54.6 yards per punt, with one touchback. The dynamo also registered a tackle on the final play of the second quarter, chasing down David Durden for a tackle inside VSU 10-yard line as time expired to prevent UWF from scoring before halftime. This is Thiele’s second time being recognized this season and first since Week 1.
