Matlock got a hit on 14 of her 20 trips (.700) to the plate as West Alabama earned a 4-1 record over the last week. She recorded three extra-base hits including a two-run shot in the Tigers’ 9-2 win over Union to go along with four RBIs and 11 runs scores. She also stole a base on four of her five attempts. In UWA’s second game with Miles, Matlock batted .800 (4-5) with a double and a triple as the senior scored three runs and stole a base in the 14-0 victory. Her biggest game of the week came in the final matchup with Union where the senior went 4-for-4 from the plate with a two-run home run and three runs scored.
