Bridges picked up his third win of the season as he helped lead the Choctaws to a road win over top-ranked Tampa on Saturday. The junior held the Spartans to two earned runs and struck out four in eight frames, while holding UT 1-for-16 with runners on base and 0-4 with them in scoring position. Saturday marked Bridges’ second straight victory on the bump with 100-plus pitches as he topped out at 118. The win was also Mississippi College’s first victory over a top five ranked team since April 2018 vs. No. 3 Delta State.
