Hill helped lead No. 2 Valdosta State to a GSC-opening series sweep of No. 25 Alabama Huntsville. The sophomore hit .600 (6-10) for the weekend in three starts, while scoring a team-high five runs with two home runs and four RBI. She slugged 1.200 for the week and reached base at a .600-clip with no strikeouts, while going 2-for-2 in stolen bases. Hill had multi-hit games in each contest and hit a home run in each of Saturday's two games, including a key, two run home run in the bottom of the sixth, starting a five-run rally for a 6-5 victory to clinch the series. She also went 2 for 2 in putouts for the weekend with no errors.
