Garrett-Hammett helped lead West Alabama to a 2-1 record over the holiday break with wins over West Georgia and West Florida. Against UWG on Dec. 20, the senior recorded a 14-point 11-rebound double-double as well as four assists in 38 minutes of game time. Garrett-Hammett scored 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting in just 33 minutes in the Tigers' win over West Florida on Dec. 31. Her 31 points are the most by a UWA player in a single game this season and second-highest in the Gulf South. Garret-Hammett's 11 made field goals are also the second-most by a GSC player in the 2021-22 season. Over the last three games, Garrett-Hammett averaged 17.67 points on 45 percent shooting and 8.0 rebounds per game while also making 84 percent of her freethrows.
