Saunders finished 12th out of 206 runners with a 5k time of 19:21 in the Rhodes College Invitational. She led CBU to a third-place finish out of 25 teams, including the top finish among non-Division I teams. She was the top freshman in the field and the fifth non-Division I runner to finish. This is the second time this year that Rodriguez has been named GSC Freshman of the Week.
