Shorter attacker Morgan Perrone (Fr.; Marrietta, Ga.) was named the Gulf South Conference Lacrosse Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Perrone netted seven last week over two matches. She had a week-high five against Montevallo, with two goals and an assist versus Alabama Huntsville as well. She currently has 43 points on the season, including 27 goals and 16 assists.
 
The honor marks the second time this season that Perrone has earned GSC Freshman of the Week honors, having previously done it 2/28.
