Smith impressed in her debut GSC weekend, hitting .545 against the defending national champions from North Alabama. She was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored in the Wolves' 11-9 loss to UNA, but was a major cog in the West Georgia comeback in that game. UNA led 7-1 early, but the Wolves rallied to tie the score at 9-9 in the bottom of the 7th, with Smith driving in and scoring a run during the rally. She had two doubles and a three-run home run in the game. For the weekend, she had an on-base percentage of .583 and a slugging percentage of 1.000.
