Taylor wins Gulf South Conference Player of the Week honors for the second straight week. He was also the USBWA National Player of the Week last week after setting the GSC’s single game scoring record with a 62-point outburst. This week, Taylor again made history, going 20-for-24 from the free throw line on his way to 41 points in a Shorter win. His 24 attempts and 20 made free throws both tie conference records. In his career, Taylor has made a habit of getting to the free throw line, as his 242 free throw attempts in 2015-16 are a conference record. Taylor leads the country with 36.7 points per game.
