Taylor had a historic week for the Hawks and the GSC, breaking the conference’s single game scoring record with a 62-point performance in a win over Carver Bible College. Taylor went 19-for-34 from the floor, 9-for-15 from beyond the arc, and 15-for-19 at the free throw line in the game. He also grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists, and, despite playing 39 minutes, had no turnovers. In the other game this week, Taylor had 32 points against conference foe Lee, putting his average for the week at 47.0 points per game. At 35.8 points per game this season, Taylor is the country’s leading scorer.
