Mississippi College forward Kyra Montes (Fr.; Shreveport, La.) was named the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Montes found the back of the net twice and dished out two assists, all against Spring Hill, last week. The rookie striker has 15 points on the season so far, with four goals and seven assists.
