Christian Brothers University’s Brian Braswell is the GSC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Freshman Performer of the Week. This is the first freshman honor for Braswell.
Braswell participated in five events for the Buccaneers at the Rhodes College Six-Way. Braswell’s best finish came in the 110 meter hurdles where he placed second with a time of 15.60, just 0.02 seconds behind the winner. Braswell’s mark in the 110 meter hurdles set a new CBU record.
Braswell had another top performance in the triple jump, grabbing third place with a mark of 13.01 meters. The native of Bartlett, Tenn., also had two eighth-place finishes in the 200 meter run and the shot put. The freshman completed his meet with a 12th place finish in the discus event.
