Young Harris attacker
Sarah Bialecki (Fr.; Kennesaw, Ga.) was named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
Bialecki helped lead Young Harris to a 2-1 week, including a 2-0 start in GSC action, with five assists and four goals over three games. She scored an unassisted goal against No. 4 Rollins College to start the week last Monday, and then added three assists to GSC Offensive Player of the Week Jaclyn Kernohan in a 17-16 win at Alabama Huntsville on Saturday. She scored three unassisted goals and assisted another goal in the Mountain Lions’ 20-5 win at Montevallo on Sunday. In addition to her nine points during the week, she collected three ground balls in GSC action. She placed five of her six shots on target, scoring four of them. Bialecki now leads the GSC in assists per game with 1.60 and 24 total.
