University of West Georgia’s Ashley Davis is the Gulf South Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Track Performer of the Week. This is the second consecutive week for Davis to win the award and the third time this season.
Competing in two events, the 200 meter run and the 4x100 meter event, Davis’ performances helped the Wolves to a first place team victory at Columbus State’s Cougar Classic. With a mark of 24.45, the freshman out of Lawrenceville, Georgia, placed first individually in the 200 meter run and then helped UWG to another victory in the 4x100 meter. The times for both events set new program records.
Davis has hit the NCAA provisional mark in both the 200 meter and 400 meter this season.
