Young Harris goalkeeper
Julia Darroch (So.; Oshawa, Ontario) was named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Darroch collected eight saves in a 18-6 win over Emmanuel College (Ga.) Saturday. She was also active outside, picking off two passes and scooping up three ground balls. Darroch, who faces a limited number of shots on goal per game, averages 6.31 saves per game. Her 9.27 goals against average is the second-best in the GSC.
