Gulf South Conference

Young Harris midfielder Rachel Lepine (So.; Whitby, Ontario) was named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Lepine worked a double team on Chowan’s best player and helped lead the YHC defense to hold its opponent to only three shots in a 23-3 win Saturday. Lepine had one ground ball, two draw controls and one caused turnover. Her defensive transitions and clears helped the ball from being back on defense for any long period of time. Lepine leads YHC with 1.45 caused turnovers per game.
