North Alabama shortstop
Reagan Tittle (So.; Lynn, Ala.) was named the Gulf South Conference Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Tittle helped extend UNA’s win streak to 18 games as the fourth-ranked Lions swept No. 21 Delta State University to take a three-game lead atop the GSC standings. She hit .455 with six runs scored and five RBI on the week, including three home runs and a double. In game two Friday, she doubled to drive in the game-tying run in the first inning and then scored the go-ahead run to give UNA an early 2-1 lead. In Game three of the series Saturday, she hit a solo home run in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 7-3. It was the second multi-home run game of her career. The two-run shot proved to be the game-winner as Delta State added a pair of runs in the top of the seventh in UNA’s 8-5 win. Tittle now leads UNA with 131 at bats and eight home runs. Her 43 runs scored is second on the team, while her 83 total bases, 50 hits and 31 RBI are third on the team.
