University of West Georgia’s Amina Saunders is the Gulf South Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Track Performer of the Week. This is Saunders’ second consecutive week to win the award.
           
Saunders scored 30 points for UWG while participating in five events at the Emory Invitational. The Miami, Florida, native won the 400 meter hurdles with a mark of 1:02.16 and placed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a mark of 14.72, a new school record. The sophomore also competed in the 4x400 meter relay that finished first and set a new program record with a time of 3:58.05. Saunders finished eighth in the 200 meter.
