University of West Georgia’s Ashley Davis is the GSC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Freshman Performer of the week. This is the second consecutive week for Davis to earn the award.
Davis placed first in two events and set two new school records at the Emory Invitational, helping the Wolves to a second place finish. The Lawrenceville, Georgia, native finished second in the 400 meter with a time of 55.86, a new school record, and won the 200 meter with a time of 24.90. Davis’ time is the 400 meter hit the NCAA provisional mark. She also competed on the 4x400 meter relay and the 4x100 meter relay teams where the Wolves placed first and fourth, respectively. UWG set a new school record in the 4x400 with a time of 3:58.05.
