Young Harris attacker
Nicole Kernohan (So.; Whitby, Ontario) was named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Kernohan scored seven goals and assisted two to help Young Harris College to a 2-0 week and snap a four-game losing skid. The Mountain Lions (6-4), defeated Tennessee Wesleyan on Thursday, and then beat the University of Virginia at Wise on Saturday. Kernohan scored five goals and assisted one against Tennessee Wesleyan and added two goals and an assist against UVA-Wise. Kernohan leads Young Harris with 2.9 goals per game and is third in the GSC with 1.9 assists per game and shots per game (6.4).
