Nicole Federovitch (Fr.; Barnegat, N.J.) was named the Gulf South Conference Women’s Lacrosse Freshman of the Week on Tuesday for the third time this season. She also earned the honor Feb. 16 and Feb. 23.
Federovitch led the Chargers’ offense with 13 points, including 12 goals and an assist in UAH’s 2-1 week in games against Ursuline, Tampa and Ave Maria. She scored five goals and assisted one in a 20-10 win over Ursuline last Tuesday. She did so, by placing all six shots on target. On Saturday, she scored four of her five shots on goal, six total, in a 10-9 loss to Tampa, and then scored on each of her three shots in a 20-12 win over Ave Maria on Sunday. She added five ground balls, four draw controls and caused a turnover. She had a season-high five ground balls and four draw controls against Ursuline. She maintained a .933 shot on goal percentage.
