Erin Walsh (Knoxville, Tenn.) earns her first GSC Player of the Week honor.
- Walsh was the only nominee this week to produce consecutive 20-point games, averaged 26.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 38.5 minutes per game in a pair of losses.
- She began the week with a 28-point night against West Alabama on Thursday. She added three rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block. She shot 40 percent from the floor.
- On Saturday, she added 25 points, six assists, two rebounds, a block and a steal against West Georgia.
- Earlier in the week, Walsh was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team for maintaining a 4.00 GPA as a nursing major.
- She is third in the GSC in scoring, averaging 18.1 points per game, and fifth in field goal percentage (41.9), including 40.1 percent from 3-point range. Her 67 3s made rank second in the GSC.
- Lee (16-8, 13-6 GSC) is now tied for fourth place in the GSC and is one game out of second. The Lady Flames will travel to Mississippi College and Delta State this week.
