Lee outfielder Hallie Davis (Fr.; Charleston, Tenn.) was named the Gulf South Conference Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Davis hit five home runs in her first full week of her collegiate career, helping Lee (5-3) to a 4-2 week in Alabama. The freshman out of Walker Valley High School started the week with a five-RBI game at Montevallo on Thursday. She went 2-for-4 with a triple and home run and scored twice. The following day, in Gulf Shores, she went 1-for-6 on the day, driving in four runs, and made her one hit count, hitting a three-run home run against Miles College. She was 3-for-8 in two games Saturday, scoring twice, including a solo home run against Missouri-St. Louis. She also had a double against Montevallo. She capped the week with a 2-for-4 performance against Tuskegee, hitting two more home runs, while driving in three runs and scoring twice. She only struck out once in 22 plate appearances and collected 26 total bases with a 1.182 slugging percentage.
