Trevor McDade (Houston, Texas) earns his first GSC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honor.
- McDade averaged 23.5 points, eight rebounds and 3.5 steals while helping the Hawks to a 1-1 week at home.
- He shot 91 percent (10-of-11) Thursday night en route to a career-high 24-point performance against Christian Brothers. He added six points, five steals and an assist in the win.
- On Saturday, McDade collected his third double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds. He connected on 69 percent of his shots in the loss to Union.
- McDade has scored 20-plus in three consecutive games now, giving him five 20-point games for the season and six in his NCAA Division II career.
- His seven steals increases his NCAA Division II lead with 53 steals this season. His 2.79 steals per game are fourth among DII players.
- Shorter (9-10, 4-9 GSC) will travel to Valdosta State and West Florida this Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
